I hope someone will ask him why we can’t have details of the arms export permits. Not just summaries, but the actual permits.

If the permits aren’t defensible, they shouldn’t be granted.

There are too many arms being sold to dictators and autocrats.

Whilst arms manufacture is the subject of profit there will always be a vested interest in war

Whilst arms are produced there will always be megalomaniacs using them. Ban the lot.

Sad that Zac should have discovered a prior engagement. As our MP, a high profile one, with a ‘maverick’ reputation and apparent ethical reservations about the licensing of arms sales, the expectation of his squaring up to Vince was of major interest, as he must have realised. Still Vince is the minister responsible, and that’s the meat of the issue.

Couldn’t agree more! When signing the petition I watched a couple of ‘the spoof promotional videos – one for recruiting ‘Defence’ engineers, the other for Jetta systems, Only the soundtracks were’spoof’. The content was sickening,

Our part in the arms trade is really evil and does a great deal to contribute to long-term human suffering, not least in the form of overseas debt. As a Libdem, Vince should know better than to try to get our economy going at the expense of more vulnerable people.
